How to Catch Animals

The three-step capture loop every run follows, and the mistakes that end it early.

Step 1

Walk up close to a wild animal and rope it

The lasso only connects at short range, so approach before throwing

Step 2

Ride the roped animal toward your base

The zone's Guardian chases you the moment the rope connects

Step 3

Reach safety before the Guardian catches you

About Rope an Animal

A Roblox player riding a blocky white farm animal while a large brown dinosaur chases them, exclamation marks over its head.

[ALIENS 👽] Rope an Animal is a Roblox simulation game by Rope an Animal APXS. Every run follows the same loop: rope a wild animal up close, ride it toward your base while the zone's Guardian chases you, and reach safety to secure it — secured animals earn money for you every second.

Money feeds the rest of the game. Treadmill upgrades raise your Speed, Speed opens the gates to new zones and their animals, and extra claims — free gifts and the Animal Index — pay out along the way. You can also steal animals from other players, and rare animals are roped the moment they hatch.

Each guide on this wiki takes on one of those systems: what to do, what to watch out for, and what the game has actually shown so far.

Surviving the Guardian

How the ride-home chase works and the levers that turn a lost run into an arrival.

View full page
Step 1

Treat the ride as a speed race

The Guardian is the zone's own animal — an elephant in one zone, an eagle in another — and you must outrun it to safety.

Step 2

Mount a fast animal

The elephant was only outrun comfortably once the player rode a cheetah.

Step 3

Expect it to cut you off

The Guardian moves to intercept your path, so route around obstacles instead of straight-lining.

Step 4

Use its target switches

When the Guardian turns to chase another player, that is your window to cover ground.

How Money Works

Pen income, claimable rewards, and the treadmill upgrade prices worth saving for.

View full page

Animals in your pen earn per second

Every animal secured at your base raises your money-per-second rate.

Claim rewards while you play

Online-time bonuses and index claims pay out during a session, and at least one claim was a free zebra earning 500 per second.

Save for treadmill upgrades

Upgrade prices observed in play climbed from about 250,000 to $3,000,000, and each tier buys Speed that opens farther zones.

Using the Rope

The short-range lasso rules, the hatch-timing rule, and why Speed decides your targets.

View full page

Get close before you rope

The lasso connects only at short range — walk up to the target instead of throwing from afar.

Rope rares the moment they hatch

That timing is the game's own instruction for rare animals.

Roping is only half the catch

The rope connects the animal; riding it to safety before the Guardian catches you completes it.

Speed decides your targets

Players report later-zone animals needing roughly 20,000 to 40,000 Speed before attempts start landing.

Rare Animals and Hatch Timing

The official hatch rule, how rarity showed up in play, and what a valuable target is worth.

View full page

The game's only official rare rule is timing: rope rare animals as soon as they hatch. Until one appears, judge any target by the cash value shown on it and watch for occasional high-value spawns in neighboring areas.

  • Labels beyond rare — like epic — have shown up on animals in play.
  • The usual catch limits all apply: short lasso range, the Guardian chase, and Speed-gated zones.

Free Gifts and Claims

The stay-online claim rule and the two rewards confirmed so far.

View full page
Step 1

Stay online to unlock gifts

Gifts are tied to time spent in the game, not a purchase or quest.

Step 2

Claim, keep playing, claim again

More rewards become available later in the same session, claimed from the menu players call the index.

Step 3

Known rewards so far

In-game cash and a free zebra reported to earn 500 per second.
