Rope an Animal Treadmill: Train Speed and Plan Upgrades
How to train Speed on the treadmill in Rope an Animal, what an upgrade changes, and how to read one run's price and Speed checkpoints.
Run on the treadmill at your base to gain Speed. More Speed helps when you need to reach a farther animal or outrun its Guardian on the ride home. The treadmill can be upgraded, so a practical routine is to train on your current one while your animals earn enough to pay for the next tier.
Training and upgrading
The game's How to Play names treadmill training as the way to gain Speed. A player in a recorded run bought a better treadmill and felt training became faster afterward. The run does not show a gain rate per second or per upgrade, so use your live Speed display to judge how much an upgrade helps you.
The price can rise steeply. After two upgrades, that player's next treadmill cost 3,000,000; they remembered an earlier price of about 250,000. They kept using the cheaper treadmill until they could afford the better one. Check your own upgrade panel before saving for either number, since prices can change and the recording does not supply a full tier list.
Train for the catch you want
In the same run, the player's Speed passed 12,000, 20,000, and 30,000 before reaching roughly 40,000 after the better treadmill. A goat in a farther area remained difficult at 30,000; the attempt went better at 40,000, but a successful catch is not shown. These checkpoints describe that run, not required Speed thresholds.
A 64,000 figure appeared near the snowy mountain zone. Its label was unclear, so do not assume it is the exact entry requirement. Check the zone gate and the Guardian in your current game, then train and upgrade until your own route becomes manageable.
