Rope an Animal Rare Hatching: Catch the Animal in Time

When you see a rare animal hatch, move toward it and rope it right away. That timing comes from the game's official How to Play. You still need to get close enough for the lasso and ride the catch to safety before the Guardian reaches you.

What to do when a hatch starts

1. Move immediately. A player in one run spotted a hatching egg, sprinted toward it, and arrived too late. Waiting to see what appears can cost you the chance.
2. Close the distance before throwing. The rope is short-range in recorded play. Aim to reach the animal rather than trying a long-distance lasso.
3. Plan the return trip. Once you rope an animal, the Guardian chase is the next problem. Train Speed on the treadmill if that area's escape route is beyond you.
