The game's official How to Play gives one clear instruction for rare animals: rope them as soon as they hatch. It does not publish a rare-animal roster, hatch schedule, odds, or a special rope requirement. Prepare for the catch you can control instead of chasing an unverified tier list.

Be ready when an egg hatches

Stay close enough to reach a target quickly. A player in one run spotted an egg hatching, rushed toward it, and still missed the animal. That shows why reacting immediately matters, but it does not establish a fixed hatch window or where eggs will appear in your server.

The usual catching limits still matter: the lasso works at close range, and after it connects you need to ride the animal to safety before a Guardian catches you. Train Speed on the treadmill if a farther area's chase is too difficult. No separate rare-only Speed threshold is confirmed.

Decide whether a target is worth the run

Look at the animal's live label and displayed earnings, then weigh that against the trip home. One player called an animal “epic” and speculated that its quality affected a stat gain, but that single remark does not establish a rarity order or a reliable bonus formula. Likewise, a free zebra earned 500 per second in that run; it is an income example, not a benchmark for every rare animal.
