Rope an Animal Base Guide: Animals, Income, and the Treadmill

Your base ties the main loop together. Bring an animal home, place it for money-per-second income, and use that money to improve your treadmill. Training Speed makes farther catches and Guardian escapes more manageable, giving you another chance to bring home an animal.

Place animals for income

After a successful run, put your catch down at the base. A recorded player saw their income rise after placing another animal; their base held a panda, ladybug, and peacock among other animals. One free zebra earned 500 per second in that run, but each animal's current rate should be checked in-game. Size and gender are visible traits, not proven income bonuses.

The available game information does not give a pen capacity or clear instructions for replacing and removing animals. Use your base's live placement controls for those decisions.

Train on the treadmill

The official game description tells players to train on the treadmill for Speed. One recorded player upgraded it twice, then found the next tier cost 3,000,000, up from an earlier price they recalled as about 250,000. They kept training on the current treadmill until they could buy the better one. Prices and Speed gains may differ in your server, so check the upgrade panel before saving for a particular tier.

Check rewards before another run

Online-time and Animal Index claims can add cash or animals while your base income builds. They are separate reward sources; read the current claim text before counting on any particular payout. An exclamation mark in the shop may point to something available, but it does not by itself confirm a free item.

A useful return-to-base routine is short: place your catch, check its earnings, collect any available reward, train Speed, and choose a target you can rope and ride home safely. No fixed Speed threshold or complete base upgrade list has been confirmed.
